The Wedding of Donna & Dave, Spynie Palace

Weddings are beautiful occasions but for the bride and groom the day can pass in a blur. The job of a wedding photographer is to capture the essence of your love and tell the story of the day. In years to come, when the memories have faded, a lovingly crafted album will help you not only relive the emotions of the day, but enable you to share that day with your children and grandchildren. Imagine, in years to come, when a 10 year old climbs up on to your knee as you share your wedding album and says “Mummy, you looked beautiful” or “Granny, you were so glamorous”.

Donna and Dave were married at Spynie Palace, near Elgin on the Moray Firth, and the story of their day is a privilege to tell.

With all their own preparations it is just not possible for the couple to experience all of the moments that tell the story of their day.

This look of joy and pride as Donna helps with a buttonhole could so easily be forgotten.

The sheer exhilaration of their son John, and his cousin Conor, as they greet arrival of the bridal car and rush to tell the groom that the bride has arrived will mean so much in years to come.

The day was about Dave and Donna’s love for each other and this was symbolised by the heart shaped arrangement of candles.

Dave and Donna had chosen to have a humanist ceremony, and the whole celebration was so warm, loving and joyful.

After the ceremony the guests enjoyed champagne whilst the children explored the grounds and Dave & Donna took some time for photography.

At the beginning of this post I talked about how a wedding album can tell a story for years to come, becoming a family heirloom to be passed down the generations. Can you imagine settling down with a glass of wine in front of the fire, and a CD of images?

If a wedding album is to stand the test of time, it needs to be crafted from the finest materials. I have chosen Queensberry as an album supplier as they make beautiful albums which will be treasured by this generation and the next. You can find out more about their gorgeous albums on their website or at the Queensberry blog.

Great work as is rapidly becoming the norm for you Louise.

I especially like the continuation of your story-telling style with your choice of words to accompany the imagery.

Bravo!

Hello Louise. These images are awesome. I particularly like the second to last image of the bride. That is such a beautiful image. I hope the bride makes a poster sized print of that one! Kudos!
