Boutonnière | Image of the Week

This weeks image is from a destination wedding I photographed at Quinta de Sant’Ana in Gradil, by Lisbon in Portugal. It was a beautiful wedding with many unique Portuguese and South African touches – from the Ostrich feathers in the bouquet to the local traditions – you can see more images from this wedding here.

There are many things that I like about this image but most of all it is the dream like quality and the contrast of the flower against the tree trunk. For me it stands out because it is different from a lot of button hole photographs.
